The new site expands patient services in a state-of-the-art facility
WellSpan today announced the opening of a new physical rehabilitation location in Hanover, with expanded patient services.
The new WellSpan Rehabilitation site – located at 1000 Carlisle St. – offers physical therapy and athletic training in a caring environment with advanced equipment.
In addition to those services, staff at the more than 5,500-square-foot location provide what are referred to as advanced-level functional capacity assessments. WellSpan has invested in two state-of-the-art physical rehabilitation machines to assist care teams in the evaluation of a patient’s ability to perform specific movements. The technology assists with various movement tests associated with workplace and other daily activities, and are commonly used to assess patients prior to their return to work following a medical procedure or injury.

The new rehabilitation location is WellSpan’s latest investment in the Hanover community.
WellSpan Rehabilitation at Hanover’s Blooming Grove Road location is currently closed for renovations and is slated to reopen late this year. WellSpan Urgent Orthopedics – Hanover, also housed at the Blooming Grove Road location, is currently undergoing a renovation and expansion project, but will remain open during the project along with its neighbor, WellSpan Orthopedics.
When complete, the Blooming Grove Road location will be comprised of WellSpan Orthopedics, WellSpan Rehabilitation and WellSpan Urgent Orthopedics – Hanover. WellSpan Rehabilitation on Carlisle Street will remain open as a second location for the service in the Hanover area.
